Playing the part of Bruce Foxton

At what age did you start playing the bass?

 About 13/14

Musical influences

Queen, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, 10cc,  Pink Floyd, Eagles. Most of the 90's britpop movement.

What attracted you to The Jam?

I knew their very famous hits like most people, but I didn't deep dive into The Jam until encouraged to try and learn Tube Station.  Soon after that, the first Jam tribute that I was in at the time was formed, some 21 years ago.

What other bands have you been in?

Many local to home.  None you would have heard of!

Where did you grow up / live?

 Gloucestershire.

What’s your greatest Jam memory?

I clearly remember their performance on The Tube days before they split up in 1982.

How did you end up in Band Called Malice?

My mate forwarded me the 'Foxton wanted' advert, had a chat with the guys, then an audition - the rest is history!

Did u know any of your band mates before joining?

Nope.

Do u have any memorable / funny stories from your time in A Band Called Malice

They will come, am sure!

What’s your most memorable musical achievement / highlight

I have many favourite gigs for different reasons, but top of the list is probably playing the Joe Strummer stage at Glastonbury in 2007, coincidentally shortly before Weller appeared on the Pyramid.
